In recognition of our Dutch heritage, the Children are looking forward to a Visit from Sinterklaas (aka St. Nicholas) at Coffee Hour on December 15.

In the Netherlands and throughout northern Europe, children leave out a shoe or plate before heading to bed on December 5, and Sinterklaas visits during the night to leave them some small treats, in anticipation of the very best gift yet to come.  At his visit to the NRC on December 15, the children will each have a chance to talk with Sinterklaas.

The Christian Education Committee and Sunday School Parents will host this special coffee hour, also featuring some traditional Dutch treats.
