The WFG met on February 9 to tackle their latest service project which resulted in the creation of 17 standard sized pillowcases that will be donated to the YWCA Women’s Shelter in Schenectady. The shelter offers emergency, temporary and permanent housing for women who are victims of domestic violence, who have a history of chemical dependency, and who are homeless. We hope that these items offer the women some comfort as they work to rebuild their lives.
The Women’s Fellowship group meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Lounge of Fellowship Hall. The project for March 8 will be the “MoonCatcher Sewing Bee,” creation of feminine hygiene products that help to keep young African girls in school during their monthly cycles. More information about the Bee to follow.
