The 2020 Annual Women’s Retreat will include an overview of and introduction to some of the many different types of spiritual practices we can engage in as we work to grow closer to God. This year’s theme is “Be Still and Be With God – A Sampling of Spiritual Practices.” Rev. Abby Norton-Levering, Albany Synod Ministries Coordinator, will share her thoughts on our theme, and a number of very special women will lead us in some of their own favorite practices, such as Tea Bag Art, Gentle Chair Yoga, a look at Spiritual Mystics, Journaling, Zentangle, Mindful Cooking and Meditation.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 25 in Fellowship Hall and will run from 9:00 am until about 3 pm. Doors will open at 8:30 am for Registration and welcoming fellowship. As always, a special luncheon will be part of the day’s schedule.
Registrations are open and being taken by Sue Felpel (email@example.com) and Sharon Jackson (firstname.lastname@example.org). The cost for the event is $10.00 through April 17 and $12.00 thereafter. (We suggest and request that you register by April 17 to allow for proper planning and scheduling.)
The Program will include some moving activities, so we suggest you dress for comfort. We also ask that you please bring an offering of a non-perishable food item for the SICM Food Pantry. These will be offered during our closing worship.
The Congregational Care Committee and the Women’s Fellowship Group are hosting this much anticipated event. For more information, please contact the planning committee or the church office.
