Women’s Fellowship Group Completes Fleece Baby Blankets

Posted on

The NRC Women’s Fellowship Group enjoyed another fun evening on September 8.  Ellie van Pelt stepped in for Ann Duncan to help us figure out how to cut the fleece fabric for these little blankets and we ended up getting 24 of them ready for Ann to complete with her serger … when she’s feeling better.  So many adorable colors and designs!  So soft and cuddly!  Once they’re ready, the blankets will be donated to new mothers who have need of items for their babies.  Several of the women are planning to make some more blankets, this time with more adult designs, so that they can be donated to the VA hospital in Albany for veterans who spend time there.
Mary Ivey will lead our next meeting on Tuesday, October 6 at 7:00 PM, featuring a guest speaker to tell us about the “Mooncatcher Project.”  Please hold the date and plan to join us to learn about this interesting and valuable service.  Refreshments will be provided by Karen Goddard.
