Niskayuna Reformed Church served lunch at the Schenectady Salvation Army Soup Kitchen on Thursday October 20th. We served a new menu this time. It included amazing homemade spaghetti sauce (thank you John Moak), ziti, fruit cocktail, Italian bread with butter, juice, coffee and tea as well as a mix of desserts the Salvation Army had on hand from local donations. We served 113 meals to 65 adults, 6 children, 32 seniors, and 10 seconds! Special thanks to Judy Valente, Barb Valenti, John Moak, Karen Moak, John Del Signore and Sharon Thompson who planned, shopped, cooked, served and cleaned up, all with broad smiles on their faces.
