Here are some events that the M & SC would like to share:
- Patty’s Place is a program sponsored by SICM (Schenectady Community Ministries). The program reaches out to women in the city with the hope of getting them off the streets. The organization provides immediate resources and long-term referrals for the women. The NRC Mission & Service Committee has decided to assist Patty’s Place in their quest to help women make a better life for themselves. They are in need of the following items: shampoo, sunscreen, deodorant, feminine-hygiene products, and razors. Look for the pink box outside Fellowship Hall to make your donation.
- Another opportunity for our congregation to help fight hunger in our community. SICM, in partnership with the Niskayuna COOP, will be collecting food items on Thursday, February 14 from 11-6 PM. Please stop by Niskayuna’s hometown grocery “gem” and show your support for this worthy cause. Check out detailed flyer posted in the education building.
- SICM “Fill the Bowl” fundraiser will be held Sunday March 3rd. See flyer in Education Building for more information
