Wednesday Reflection

O give thanks to the Lord, call on his name, make known his deeds among the peoples. Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wonderful works.  Glory in his holy name, let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.  Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually.  Remember the wonderful works he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he has uttered, O offspring of his servant Abraham, children of Jacob, his chosen ones. – Psalm 105:1-6

It can be a tough task to seek God’s presence continually. There are countless events, to do lists, feelings, and desires that draw us away from God’s presence. With all that is there to do and see, we are too often not aware of God’s presence. We need reminders to stop so that we can look and listen for what God is doing. We can then give thanks for the beauty of a sunrise. Tell our friends and family about how wonderful God’s presence is in our lives. We can point to the good works in the world as a demonstration of God’s love.

Take a moment today to stop, look, and listen for God’s presence. What do you see? What do you hear?
