Advent Projects Due This Sunday, Dec. 15

Posted on

You may have noticed the two Christmas Trees in the Education Building on Sunday.  During the season of Advent, the Sunday School children are leading two service projects in order to focus on helping others.

The first is The Hat and Mitten tree that you will find on the lower level of the education building.  The tree is being used to collect all sizes of hats, mittens, gloves, scarves, and socks.  These will be donated to NorthernRivers (formerly known as Northeast Parent & Child Society in Schenectady) for local needy families. All donations need to be in by Sunday, December 15 for delivery before Christmas.

Our other Advent project is the Angel Tree, located upstairs just outside the office area. This tree is laden with paper angels, each noting a desired “gift.”  These gifts will also be donated to NorthernRivers to help families during this holiday season. Gifts should be new and unwrapped, and should be left under the tree with the angel attached. As with the hats and mittens, please bring in all donations by December 15 to ensure distribution in time for Christmas.

Thank you for helping the children carry out this loving, caring mission.
