The Niskayuna Reformed Church, founded in 1750 along the banks of the Mohawk River in the capital region of upstate NY, is seeking a full-time Pastor to work with the Consistory to oversee the spiritual life and direction of the congregation.  S/he will need to gain a firm grasp of the strategic goals and vision of the church and work with staff and key leaders to execute these.  S/he will offer pastoral leadership to the congregation and will ensure that the systems, practices, and policies of the church responsibly and effectively support its ministry activities.  Primary Christian ministry activities will include:  Spiritual leadership, Preaching, Worship leadership, Child and Youth Ministry, Adult Bible Study and Membership development.  We are seeking a minister with the ability to build a spiritual community among all members of the congregation, including a strong focus on working with youth.  S/he should have strong interpersonal skills; motivational leadership; intergenerational preaching and ministry; strong problem-solving skills and be forward thinking.
