Advent Service Projects

Posted on

During the season of Advent, the Sunday School children are leading two service projects in order to focus on helping others.

The first is The Hat and Mitten tree that you will find on the lower level of the education building. The tree will be used to collect all sizes of hats, mittens, gloves, scarves, and socks. These will be donated to NorthernRivers (parent company for the agencies of Northeast Parent & Child Society, Parsons Child & Family Center and Unlimited Potential for local families in need of some extra support during the holidays. All donations need to be in by Sunday, December 11 for delivery before Christmas.

Our other Advent project is the Angel Tree, located upstairs in the office area. This tree will be laden with paper angels, each noting a desired “gift.” These gifts will also be donated to NorthernRivers to help families during this holiday season. Gifts should be new and unwrapped and should be left under the tree with the angel attached. As with the hats and mittens, please bring in all donations by Sunday, December 11 to ensure distribution in time for Christmas.

You may drop off your items T/Th from 8:30-3 and Ellen can buzz you in at the LOWER glass doors.  Pastor Mike is in Monday-Thursday from 10-2 and he can buzz you in at the UPPER glass doors.
