Our 4 year old class has begun learning their letters which means that each day we discuss a new letter, write the letter, and enjoy a snack and story that begin with that letter as well!  Monday, January 11th, was “A” day and since the church will be having their annual antique sale this weekend, Karen Goddard visited our class with some “A”ntiques of her own.  She brought in items that would have been used by school children in the past such as a slate board, a bell to announce the beginning of the school day, and a lunch pail and cup which she passed around.  At the end, she let each child place a penny in her piggy bank from long ago.  It was truly a treat for the kids!
